You’ve been referred to physical therapy by your healthcare provider, or perhaps decided to seek our services without a referral, and you’re wondering what to expect. If it’s your first time receiving “PT,” our physical therapist at Nevada Rehabilitation Centers is excited to meet you and is more than happy to provide all the information you’ll need to feel comfortable before arriving at our state-of-the-art facility.
What exactly is a physical therapist? We are certified, licensed and highly trained experts in all aspects of the body’s ability to move and function comfortably and with a full range of motion. We treat people of all ages with a wide range of health conditions, injuries and disabilities, with a goal of improving their quality of life and helping them avoid further injury. Among our specialties is pain management through natural healing methods including heat and cold therapies and hands-on massage.
Whether you’re recovering from or preparing for surgery; wish to avoid surgery; want to improve your balance, stability and flexibility; have conditions including arthritis or osteoporosis and need to strengthen your bones; have muscle weakness or an imbalance that’s sidelined you from vital activities; or are seeking to increase athletic performance, we can build a customized program to address your needs.
On your first visit, our physical therapist will perform a comprehensive evaluation of your body’s muscles and joints, overall flexibility and range of motion, and obtain a full picture of your medical history. We’ll create a treatment plan based on your needs that includes stretching and targeted exercises, providing expert hands-on, one-on-one care each step of the way. Your progress will be closely monitored and adjusted as needed, and we may even give you some “homework” to reinforce our work in between visits.
Each person in our care at Nevada Rehabilitation Centers benefits from the experience, attentiveness and the friendly, cooperative spirit that sets our practice apart. We look forward to meeting you! Please contact us today to schedule an evaluation,
